At Arizona & California Digital Motion X-ray, we aim to offer competitive pricing for our advanced diagnostic services. Our Digital Motion X-ray (DMX) is priced similarly to other specialized imaging procedures and closely aligned with the national average of a DMX which ranges from $1,250 to $1,500.

Mensuration Report Included
We believe comprehensive diagnostics is crucial for accurate assessment and effective treatment. That’s why our pricing includes both the 15-view Digital Motion X-ray & the essential Mensuration Report.

Typically charged separately from $350 to $550, the Mensuration Report provides detailed instability measurements and is a vital part of your DMX assessment. By including this report in our standard pricing, we ensure you receive a complete diagnostic package without any hidden costs.

• Self-Pay (No Insurance): Without insurance, you’re looking at full prices upfront—ranging from $160 for a 7-view X-ray (Davis Series) at an outpatient center to $6,500 for a hospital MRI. Our DMX, priced at an out-of-pocket price of $1,150, offers advanced motion diagnostics at a competitive rate, often less than a hospital CT or MRI, with a Mensuration Report included (a $350-$550 value elsewhere).
• Pre-Deductible (Insurance): If you have insurance but haven’t met your deductible—commonly $1,500-$5,000+ in high-deductible plans—you’ll pay the full cost out of pocket until that threshold is reached. For example:
  • MRI: $550-$6,500 depending on the facility.
  • CT with Contrast: $425-$2,300.
  • DMX: $950-$1,400—a predictable, all-in price for cutting-edge imaging.
• High-Deductible Plans: With deductibles averaging $2,800 for individuals in 2025 across CA and AZ, early-year imaging often falls entirely on you. A hospital MRI ($1,200+) or CT ($850+) could strain your wallet, while DMX provides consistent pricing and superior diagnostic insight for neck and spine issues.
• Avoid Additional Imaging Costs: Many patients report getting a least a few x-rays and MRIs before finding DMX. One patient received 21 negative MRIs before finding their issue on a DMX! 

Why It Matters: In CA and AZ, insurance rarely covers imaging upfront unless your deductible is met. Shopping around reveals outpatient centers save you 30-50% over hospitals, but our DMX stands out—delivering specialized motion analysis at a mid-range cost, often lower than a static MRI or CT, with no hidden fees. Insurance coverage and reimbursements can vary from provider to provider. Since DMX is a specialized imaging method, coverage can be difficult to predict. For these reasons, we do not bill insurance directly. However, you might be eligible for partial or full reimbursement from your health insurance company. 

Why You Should Submit Your Own Claim
Through years of experience, we have found that patients often receive higher reimbursements when they submit their DMX claims directly. While we provide all necessary documentation to support your claim, the most successful outcomes come from personal submissions. Here’s why:

• Success Stories: Many patients have reported receiving several hundred dollars, with some receiving full reimbursement. We've seen positive results with various insurers, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, and even health sharing companies like Christian Health Care Ministries. For example, Devoted Health fully reimbursed one of our patients.
• Varied Coverage: Insurance reimbursement can range from a few hundred dollars to the entire amount. Contact your provider to understand your potential coverage. 
  
  

How to Submit Your Claim
To help you navigate the reimbursement process smoothly, follow these steps:

Personal Injury or Car insurance claim

For med pay and injury cases, we bill auto insurance directly and accept HSA/FSA cards for payment.

Additionally, we are now accepting personal injury liens! This means that if you are pursuing a personal injury claim, you can defer payment for our services until your case is settled. We hold our own liens, which allows us to work with you and your attorney without requiring upfront payment.

Payment Plans

We have plans that allow you to pay less than half the cost up front and make smaller monthly payments via Credit Card.  Those using these plans will not qualify for the time of service or cash discounts, but there are no interest fees or prepayment penalties on our payment plans.

​All payment plans require at least a 20% down payment at the time of service of $280. Below is an example of a plan option with a different down payment. Depending on the amount placed as a down payment, your monthly payments will change.
